‘As Silver Sponsor of the Nitto ATP Finals since 2021, Xerjoff has a deep connection to the sport of tennis. Tapping into that connection, the elegant and sophisticated scent of TORINO25 captures the essence of celebration. TORINO25 evokes the emotion of the winner’s trophy lift. The culmination of years of hard work, passion and dedication, expressed in a single gesture. This perfume is the olfactory embodiment of grace and pure elation — and the crowning achievement of a glorious legacy. TORINO25 opens with playful top notes of saffron and rhubarb, accompanied by exhilarating nuances of grapefruit and fresh ginger. Dynamic and thrilling, the scent leads to sophisticated notes of leather and juniper, nestled within the blend alongside smooth suede, creating a luxurious contexture that balances energy and elegance. The perfume’s flacon and packaging draw inspiration from the joyful chaos of a final match, echoing the pen marks players leave when signing the camera lens after a win. After the success of Torino21, which is an excellent fragrance, I haven’t been as impressed with Torino22, Torino23 and least of all Torino24. I’m happy to report that Torino25 is the best of the collection along with 21 for me. It does however, smell nearly identical to a very distinct fragrance.

The opening is a great take on green-leaning, sharp citrus. It almost feels like an Acqua di Parma cologne. However, you do get a sweeter fruitier hint creeping into it bit by bit. Initially reminding me of fig.

After less than an hour, it becomes clear what Torino25 smells like. The citrus top fades and a very recognizable Marc-Antoine Barrois Encelade scent takes over. Not fig, but the massive rhubarb-vetiver cloud that I would recognize anywhere; until now I guess. It’s a hard to describe scent if you haven’t smelled Encelade: It’s green, it’s fruity, but it’s somewhat on the dark side and it’s rather sweet. In-your-face, modern, abstract.

There is something working in favor for Xerjoff here, at least for my taste. Encelade is in my opinion simply too loud and strong. I actually sold it because you need to clear 3 business days in your calendar to wear it. Torino25, while rather strong, is definitely not as powerful as Encelade & the opening is brighter.

On the other hand, Torino25 is twice as expensive, so hard to recommend in that regards. It definitely takes away points for me, but that being said, I much rather see a copy of something more niche and less-often-copied like Encelade, than another Guidance, Delina, BR540, Aventus, Tuscan Leather etc. Torino25 is a great fragrance.
