‘The Amber Gold & Rose Gold perfume duo is rare, precious and undeniably awe-inspiring. Designed to be worn separately or mixed on the skin to create endless combinations, this harmonious set of blending perfumes creates a compelling symphony on the skin. Vibrant Amber Gold Xerjoff with juicy citrus and spicy florals combines with the rich, exoticism of Rose Gold Xerjoff, defined by a joyful heart of geranium. The duo share a warming base that seduces on the skin.’ – Xerjoff
As much as I liked Amber Gold, the same cannot be said about Rose Gold. It’s a more acidic, citric rose. I see comparisons made to Frederic Malle Une Rose, which I would massively prefer over Rose Gold.
I’ve also smelled a lot of Middle Eastern rose scents that smell very similar. It’s a (dish)soapy rose and lemon combination with a lot of geranium. It’s quite strong and pungent, depending on how you like the scent profile. It’s okay, but based on my first impression this one adds nothing to the already vast world of releases and it certainly doesn’t warrant the Xerjoff price tag for me.
