Musk Bouquet is the most conventional, even retro smelling one of the Freedom collection.
The opening in my opinion borders on being bad, but it definitely grew on me after. The initial blast is a mix of clean and sweet, which is a bit of a strange combination. Picture laundry detergent with a hint of sweet, (coco)nuttiness. Not a terrible scent mind you, but it doesn’t feel like a perfume. It has a plasticy undercurrent, akin to what you would expect from a laundry detergent or fabric softener.
After a while, it finds its balance more. The clean muskiness wins over from the sweet side and rather traditional, powdery and soft florals stand out more. The combination is not the most exciting, but it’s more pleasant than the opening hour to my nose.
Nothing too exciting here, but it’s solid for what it is. It’s almost like a reverse journey when compared to the sweeter growing Musk | 12 if my memory serves me right and I think I liked it about the same.
