I was gifted some Olibere samples, which turns out to be one of the better brands, especially for their prices. Chemical Love instantly became my favorite, so I bought a bottle.

Chemical Love is a floral, exotic, boozy scent. If you like fragrances in the style of Dolce & Gabbana The One or Maison Margiela Jazz Club, but you’re looking for better performance, look no further (at least the drydown has a similar vibe). That being said, this is also sharper and greener or more floral to me.

Chemical Love has a healthy dose of ylang ylang, so especially the opening is on the floral side, and it has that sharp green-acidic tinge from elemi. As it dries it turns into a more milky, creamy sweet whiskey in the drydown. An interesting journey.
