Carte Blanche is a rather hard to review fragrance. To me, this is a perfect example of a utalitarian fragrance; it does a job and it does it well, but as a stand alone scent, it eludes much of a breakdown.
From start to finish, this is a lighter, subtle, woody scent. A second-skin type fragrance, but far on the cardboard, paper, woody side (more iso-e-super than ambroxan). It’s reminiscent of cedarwood fragrances to my nose, with a hint of spiciness.
There is a slight fruitiness, but only for a short while. I feel like the woods have a camphor, minty edge, bordering on chewing gum at one point, but ultimately, it sticks to being a clean, minimal, transparant woody scent.
Verstatile, inoffensive, but definitely not the most interesting, nor my favorite of the Ode Ona that I’ve smelled so far, which would be Everjet.
