Bacio Immortale is quality, but it doesn’t break new ground and therefore didn’t wow me as much as Triumph Of Bacchus or even Brivido Della Caccia.

Bacio Immortale is pleasant though and it will be familiar to those with experiences in this leather sub-genre. I think Tuscan Leather is the default for many people and it’s a great raspberry tinged leather scent. If you like the Tom Ford, you will like this as well. It’s a style that’s been done more often, with different nuances and Bacio Immortale does that as well. In this case, you get way more citrus in the opening, which is what I expected before I tried it and it’s a great opening.

The thing with leather accords is that they tend to be quite overpowering, which is what happens in Bacio Immortale after a while. There’s a bit more fruitiness left when compared to the Tuscan Leather DNA, but it grows closer to it the longer you wear it. I prefer the blend of Bacio Immortale, as it’s quite a bit softer and the quality and blend are top notch. It lacks the bitterness of the saffron to me and it’s perhaps a bit more woody, though I have to say the differences in the drydown will probably be negligible in the air to the average person.

The softer, smoother texture comes at a price. The performance is solid for the average fragrance, but on my skin it’s not on the level of other fragrances in this style that I’ve tried. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad trade off, but it’s something to take into consideration. I think this would be a great addition for those that are looking for the nuances, don’t mind leather redundancy in their collection or prefer the Argos presentation. For others, of course give it a try, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention to also try Rasasi La Yuqawam and see if the (big price) difference is worth it to you, and that advice holds true for Tuscan Leather, Godolphin, I-Egocentric and many others.
