‘It was in Japan one spring day that I came across an astonishing flower: the cherry blossom. Tiny and fragile though it is, it nevertheless releases a fragrance with incredible presence evoking the breathtaking landscape of thousands of cherry trees in bloom. The subtle, irresistible scent followed me everywhere. With Sakura, I wanted to pay tribute to it by interpreting its gently lingering, tender fragrance with rosy nuances. ‘ – Francois Demachy

‘NAME
Sakura is the obvious choice. A fragrance that celebrates the scent of the Japanese Cherry Blossom that paints the landscape a pale, delicate pink with the arrival of spring. A beauty that is both simple and majestic.

CHARACTER
This poetic fragrance is the kind that reveals itself when worn close to the skin. Like the stirring note of a Cherry Blossom blowing in the breeze, the Sakura fragrance wraps the senses in the freshness of spring.

DISTINCTIVE FEATURE
The soft bitterness and roundness of Almond gives fullness to the fragrance, heightening its floral and persistent qualities.

COLOUR
The blue-tinged pink of Japanese landscapes blanketed with thousands of cherry blossoms with the arrival of spring.

FAMILY
Light floral. From its delicate appearance to its powerful odor, the contrasts of the Cherry Blossom find full expression in the Sakura fragrance.

INTENSITY

Like most of the light and more feminine leaning releases from the Maison Christian Dior line, it’s better than I initially expected. Yet, most I wouldn’t be comfortably putting down the asking price for.

Here you have a really bright, white, slightly green or pink tinged flower petal soup. It smells the way pastel looks. A bit feminine leaning, but it also has a bit of a ‘home scent’ vibe; overall very cozy. Performance wasn’t great.
