Part of the 2025 Slavic Myths collections (Moko, Mora & Veles).
I was very pleasantly surprised by Goat & Bear, but this collection of Moko, Mora & Veles is unfortunately pretty much unwearable to me. If you’re into daring niche, it may appeal to your taste more. Mora is the ‘cannabis’ direction that you may have encountered before.
In my years of sampling, I’ve smelled this green, vetiver-cannabis with grapefruit multiple times, but usually it stays more on the citrussy and safe side. Here, Wolf Brothers leans into the funk quite a bit initially.
I find it more damp foresty and almost plasticy smelling. Like burnt plastic. Yet, in a strange sense, it’s somewhat subtle. A lot of fragrances in this direction are loud and vibrant, whereas Mora feels almost ozonic as it dries down. I was reminded of plasticy air or water coming through a plastic or rubber hose, like in a dentists office, but greener. At least, in the air. When smelling the skin up close, it’s still rather vibrant fruity, funky, green.
You must appreciate green fragrances to appreciate Mora. For me, it definitely isn’t something I’d want to wear.
