Part of the 2025 Slavic Myths collections (Moko, Mora & Veles).
I was very pleasantly surprised by Goat & Bear, but this collection of Moko, Mora & Veles is unfortunately pretty much unwearable to me. If you’re into daring niche, it may appeal to your taste more. Moko is probably the least eccentric of the trio, but it’s not more up my alley than the others.
Straight away I’m blasted by a wave of plasticy, wet-dog, wet-hair. I feel like there’s an overdose of calone and musks in Moko. Not the fruity, watermelon direction, but the musty, dank scent of clothes that stayed in the laundry machine for too long.
After some hours, it becomes a more pleasant scent, with some fruity tinges, and a more generic, fresh, ever so slightly aquatic/sea breeze drydown. I can’t say that I’m impressed with it though and the opening is enough for me to not enjoy the overall experience.
