You can’t go wrong with a nice mimosa and Domaine Prive’s take is less singular than I was expecting.
This is one of those brands that names their fragrances after the hero ingredient, but it’s not necessarily simplistic or hyperfocused on that one element. In this case, you get the overall floral facets with some green hues and some honeyed sweetness from mimosa.
But I found it sweeter and perhaps a tad darker than I was anticipating. Not giving me a similar experience to other mimosa-named fragrances that I know of like the Von Eusersdorff Classic Mimosa. The Domaine Prive is less fluffy and less bright.
It wears soft and performance didn’t seem anything to write home about, but the scent was vibrant and more full-bodied than a lot of mimosa for the time that it’s there. Overall, quite nice.
