Trussardi Le Vie Di Milano Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova… say that 3x fast. A while back, someone (@talkaboutscents) pointed me to this one, as a standout from this Trussardi line, when we were smelling them in-store and I instantly took a liking to it as well.
A blend of citrus and sweet powdery notes, that, on paper felt quite fresh, but is definitely a full-on gourmand with some Summery touches on skin.
You do get that a citrus-sweet combination, akin to a Dama Bianca, with more of a soapy neroli in this Trussardi. However, it doesn’t take long for the sweetness to overpower it. Chalky, powdery, paste-like almond is very prominent, giving this a strong marzipan scent. I was reminded most of Sous Le Manteau Cuir D’Orient.
It does have a hint of that earthy, stuffy, rubbery doll-head-scent as well. I’d go as far as saying that it veers into YSL Babycat territory. All while retaining some of that soft citrus, which helps tremendously with keeping Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova feel less one-dimensional and potentially cloying.
While I’m still quite clueless when it comes to Trussardi, this one is a very solid thumbs up.
