Khamrah has been one of the most popular affordable/Middle Eastern/dupe lines so far, but Dukhan is an unnessecary addition. Similar to the original Khamrah (2022), but a bit worse on all fronts.
Personally, I’m not a fan of Khamrah, mainly because it grew generic and leathery in the drydown for me. I can see why people enjoy it and quality-wise, you get what you pay for, but I don’t think it’s a great alternative for Angels’ Share. I liked Khamrah Qahwa less though. But I felt both had something to offer, for their price point, for their target audience. With Khamrah Dukhan, I fail to see much merit in its existence.
It opens very similar to Khamrah, with a dark, fruity, wet-tobacco-ish scent that is reminiscent of Kilian Angels’ Share. Perhaps, even more so this time around, as the main difference between the OG & Dukhan is that the latter is spicier and smokier.
Here too, it smells quite saffron-leathery, although mostly spicy. It doesn’t capture the booziness from the Kilian to my nose. Instead, it grows annoyingly sweet and generic.
I feel like Dukhan is a spicier take on Khamrah, with a darker opening and underwhelming quality; although for its price, it’s fine. It just adds nothing of value to the Khamrah line.
