‘Was created as a a tribute to most-liked perfumes in the history of perfumery with a modern interpretation and blend of pleasant notes. With a drop, one would feel wearing the attractiveness of all beautiful souls ever lived on earth and silently share this with everyone he/she encounters. Get ready for the compliments. ‘I closed my mouth and spoke to you in a hundred silent ways’ -Rumi’- Nishane
I went into smelling Hundred Silent Ways without any prior knowledge and was surprised; I guess both equally in a negative and positive sense.
Negative, because I’ve smelled this numerous times and it’s instantly recognizable. Not in regards to one specific scent even, but it’s just a style that’s been done a lot and chances are, if you’ve been into fragrances for a while, you’ve smelled this several times before as well.
Positive, because… I think this is my favorite rendition of the style.
I’m talking about a (white) floral vanilla bomb. However, the Nishane makes it more milky, more gourmand. It’s very edible; the vanilla itself reminds me a lot of the vanilla in Casamorati Lira or overall more so of Dama Bianca, but it doesn’t completely overpower the florals.
I wouldn’t say I pick up on any tuberose or jasmine specifically and it’s definitely not indolic in any sense, but there’s a nice tinge. Same with the fruits; more subtle to my nose than other ‘lemon cake’ style fragrances; everything feels soft and delicate (as opposed to Black Opium, which this is mostly compared to).
I’d be hard pressed to think of something nicer to smell on a woman off the top of my hat, but I would also wear this myself; perfect for a self-care-Sunday for example.
