‘for her intense eau de parfum by Narciso Rodriguez. The new intense musky feminine fragrance. for her intense eau de parfum is the new vegan perfume for women by Narciso Rodriguez. The iconic heart of musk is made even more intense, to better express the essence of for her. Express yourself with this amber chypre perfume. Narciso Rodriguez collaborated with esteemed perfumer Sonia Constant, creator of some of the most iconic fragrances for her, to compose this new vegan fragrance of great power. The fruity top notes of a deliciously juicy peach are enlivened by the citrus freshness of Calabrian bergamot. At the heart of the fragrance, a luminous white floral accord opens up, amplifying the iconic heart of musk for her. At the base, irresistible notes of vanilla blend with vetiver to create a truly hypnotic woody amber sillage.’ – Sephora
Unfortunately, Narciso For Her Intense is a miss for me from this usually above average brand. As someone who finds a lot of the women’s designer releases to be too sweet, too juvenile and too… similar, Narciso Rodriguez has released some of the better and more refined takes with their signature muskiness. But they have opted for the sweet trend-following direction here.
In the case of For Her Intense, it’s sweet throughout. It’s still well-constructed and I still prefer this over many other fragrances of its kind on the market, but I was letdown by the path that it took. Vanillic: Sugary at worst, marshmallow-y at best, from start to finish, with barely any of the brightness from the top notes coming through. This is not the fun fruity vibe from Narciso Ambree that has some contrast and freshness, but a more linear, gourmand take that feels like a dime a dozen anno 2025.
I don’t get as much of a straightforward Baccarat Rouge 540 vibe as others have remarked on; I find it more vanillic, than the more sugary BR540 and I find the Narciso less harsh and a lot less loud, but it will likely appeal to a similar audience. Maybe more Ariana Grande Cloud than Baccarat, which I do prefer. I’m not familiar with all of the Narciso fragrances, but from the ones that I’ve tried, this one feels the most generic and least refined. Average for the median women’s designer release, but sub par for what I expected from it.
