‘A fragrance for a new beginning, for early mornings when the first rays of sunlight warm the dew-covered garden. Ripe green buds burst into bloom as flower after flower unfolds in a dance of lush white layered petals. Tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine, and ylang-ylang all join in a symphony of generous perfume, harmonizing their complex aromas into a festive song. Sensual amber warmth and frankincense weave through the melodies, enhancing the echoes of this incomparable white floral theme.’ – Amouroud

After quite liking Carissa Flower, I think Enchanted Garden is an even nicer, very safe and versatile floral fragrance.

Straight away, this has that soapy, dewy, mild quality to it. Some neroli, but not the overbearing, sharp neroli that we sometimes get; instead, this feels more like a literal hand soap or shampoo with a softer texture and milder scent.

Green in a chypre way, with a somewhat sweeter fruity hit. Kind of hard to say much about; it feels like an abstract, smooth blend of floral, fruity, watery non-descript scents, in a pleasant manner.

It definitely grows warmer in the base as you would expect, but not cloyingly so. The freshness from the opening has my preference though.

What I said about Carissa Flower being sort of unassuming, free from trend -and hype chasing, rings even more true here. Perhaps not the most exciting release, but a nice, well-constructed, almost utalitarian floral that I can appreciate. I’ve smelled most of the Amouroud releases in the 5 years prior to this release and while they don’t have many big standouts, they are always solid; a tad underrated as a brand in my book.
