‘Emperor’s Court is the new nectarous, opulent, and exquisite perfume launch by Dixit & Zak from the Emperor Series. It has a composite of Oud largely influencing and defining this fragrance: Assam Oud revealed in a transformed avatar owing to it being at its best sweet spot, and oleoresins making it more caramelized, Ouds of Laos, Cambodia and Thailand simmering slowly in the backdrop; all in all the Oud presence is elevated due to a musky outline, making the perfume ultimately very invigorating and umami. There’s a slight indication of diesel note as the resinous ‘fossil amber’ and ‘dark vanilla’ turn it into something that is balsamic, sweet and leathery. The garland of refreshing floral whiff around sandalwood at the opening welcomes you with ‘zesty bergamot’ and a tinge of bitterness.
