Prin has created some of my favorite fragrances, especially Mandarava, Salted Green Mango & SM Cafe, which all have or had their time in my top 50 lists). Earlier in hte year, I bought Rosa Raimunda as my fourth Prin in my collection, but after wearing Burmite Honey again, I probably should’ve bought that one.
This is not for the faint of heart, but at the same time, one of the best sweet honey fragrances on the market. I feel like wearing Burmite Honey is like two fragrances at once; in the air/from a distance, this is cozy, comforting, sweet, natural honey. Up close though? A different animal, with a ton of fiery, daring, earthy facets.
I get a combination of the lush, rich honey from Hiram Green Slowdive, although a bit more dry in the Prin, and the fiery ambery base from Roja Parfum de la Nuit 1. The latter makes Burmite Honey a fragrance that I would only wear ocassionaly, but there’s not denying that it has an addictive quality as well, because of the sweetness.
That being said, the base is prominent and strong enough for this fragrance to be avoided if you’re not into slightly animalic, daring, ouds. I can appreciate it and I think Burmite Honey will be in my collection at one point in the future.
