‘This bold sensual floral amber fragrance exudes colour and light. A sensuous spicy floral scent with rose and patchouli at its heart. The oud and cardamom top notes blend beautifully with the woody floral heart, polished off with a warm amber musk. Our muse and inspiration is AURORA, Goddess of Dawn. A vision to behold, her chariot soared into the sky painting the sky in rose tinted hues. With her purple mantle billowing behind her scattering rose petals in her wake. This scent captures the warmth of the rising sun and the eternal glamour of Aurora and her sillage.’ – Electimuss
Aurora is quite different from what I expected, given the brand’s description. There’s talk of the saffron, patchouli and a warmth, but the main vibe I get from Aurora is more soapy and green, stemmy, almost heady rose. I could picture this as a laundry detergent for example, so I definitely wouldn’t describe this as ‘the warmth of the rising sun’.
It reminds me of cutting and washing a new floral bouquet, that mix of green, floral and also a bit earthy. The patchouli does come through strongly for me, but it’s almost like clean earth.
Something about this one feels highly unnatural and it’s probably my least favorite Electimuss from the small dozen that I’ve smelled at the time of writing this.
