‘This is the concoction I’m most proud of and it is definitely the most precious one as it is dedicated to the memory of my beloved grandmother, my Angel, Angeliki.
The inspiration comes from her gracious life, always being the most kind and courteous person and always showing care and love to everyone around her.
She adored vintage and luscious Chypré perfumes so choosing to create a Chypré concoction in her memory was the only way to go.
It will drop, God Willing, every year on the 21st of May, the day my lovely passed away and for only 104 numbered bottles; 104 were the years she lived.
God Bless you my sweetheart for the eternal inspiration and all the love you showed me’ – Angelos
Angelika is nice, but not quite what I expected. Per the description, I was expecting a chypre, but I found it to be more of a woody-amber. The opening has most of the chypre elements, with a rather skanky dark floral side.
As it dries down, I mostly smell sweet charred woods and a hint of cola. Similar to the Roja Parfums de la Nuit 1 amber base. Fiery and daring. I don’t get the greens from the opening at all for most of the wear and most of the florals also vanish pretty quickly.
For the late drydown there’s still that fiery amber and wood with spices. Quite nice, but a bit too much in the charred direction for me to wear frequently.
