In an attempt to get around to using more of the samples I had waiting at home, I decided (ill-adviced) to spray 8 Prin Lomros fragrances on skin all at once (I do have a lot of skin) and make shorter reviews for them.
So, I tried Anatolia alongside 7 Strangers Parfumerie releases, and immediately, I could feel the more Eastern styling and ingredients in Anatolia compared to the other collection. At least, for the opening.
Dry, chalky chocolate and the Middle Eastern cumin-apple-saffron like combination that smells very familiar. I find this super dry and powdery. Quite nice, although I’m not sure I’d see myself wearing it casually. It’s hefty in its sweetness and dried fruitiness.
Yet, it loses some of the heft later in the wear. As opposed to growing darker as fragrances often do, here it feels like the initial oud-leathery blast tones way down and more of the other notes start to reveal themselves; becoming a bit greener, and masculine-cologne-like. Oakmossy perhaps. Not that strong in projection (I had a dabber sample, not a sprayer, which seems to affect this), but still pungent, dense and heavy when smelled up close. Definitely not my type of scent profile, but a solid offering.
