A small disclaimer for this review is that I’ve had my sample of Zen’gi since mid  2022 and it’s slated for release in June 2023 and I’m not sure if the composition may have been tweaked a bit since.

Zen’gi is one of the strongest and most traditionally masculine leaning citrus scents I’ve come across. Ginger is the name of the game here and straight from the opening you get the combination of tangy citrus, bitter ginger and a cologne-ish styling.

It’s a mature and heavy-handed ginger fragrance, with some herbal undertones. Texture wise it’s not quite sparkling, but more dewy or steamy. It reminds me of the steam in a bathroom after a shower with a (masculine) shampoo. There’s a bit of sweetness for sure, but it’s not overpowering. I get more of the crisp, slightly green woody undertones in the air, while when smelling up close a custardy vanilla is more present, earlier on in the wear.

A bit more mature than most fragrances in this class, yet much more vanillic than something like Roja Parfums Burlington 1819. Probably my favorite from the Unique’e Luxury’s that I’ve tried alongside Kutay.
