YMC has a very promising tangerine, cinnamon and sandalwood as the ‘title notes’. I’ll be honest, the first time I wore this, I didn’t enjoy it, but it has grown on me tremendously.

The opening has a lovely fresh citrus kick, but to my surprise it’s quite powdery or balmy. It doesn’t take long for it to become smoother and to warm up though, as the sandalwood and cinnamon come through quite heavily. It’s also surprisingly floral with a hints of rose and geranium.

It’s hard to explain this one; based on the notes it’s an orange/brown scent, but I picture purple or green when I smell this. It’s fruity, not just citrussy. I don’t know what made my first experience much less positive, but this is a solid fragrance.
