In my previous testing of Jijide, I picked out some more eccentric fragrances, such as Riso and Grano. Both are very intriguing, but not the most comforting or easy to pull off for me personally.
Now I wore Shao Guan and Xan Hai side by side, both are more ‘pretty’, conventional, yet modern scents. Xan Hai being the most vibrant and familiar smelling one.
Arguably the fragrance out of the 5 Jijide that I wore up until this point that is easiest to recommend (albeit I prefer Shao Guan slightly myself). The downside being that this smells the most familiar and conventional to me. Very floral, with some citrus and peaches, but less defined as in Shao Guan.
I can’t recall which fragrances it reminds me of, as this is a scent profile that I don’t always gravitate towards, but it has a rich, vibrant, mix of citrus, peach, flowers and tonka sweetness that wouldn’t be out of place in the women’s Kilian line for example. I think it leans towards more citrussy takes on Love Don’t Be Shy, opting for more acidity instead of the soft marshmallowy side.
