Witchy Woo seems mysterious, but actually isn’t. I find this to be mostly a spicy and woody scent, with a bit of sweetness. The opening has a slightly fruity hint, but it quickly becomes spicier. Pepper is very present throughout the first hours.
Grows way more into a conventional masculine Eau Sauvage-esque earthy spice with a fresh edge to it than I expected. It wears quite smoothly. Patchouli definitely adds this sort of retro vibe, but not as much as I initially expected. I don’t see lavender in the notes, but I definitely smell something like lavender; and I don’t smell the rose. Witchy Woo has an almost minty aromatic edge to it.
It does gets warmer and more cozy with the carrot and cinnamon being more of the vibe than the colder pepper for the mid of the wear.
Perhaps interesting to note that it seems that almost all of the reviews for Witchy Woo online seem to come from female wearers (as was the interest on my social media when I announced I was wearing it) and most of them seem to find Witchy Woo very unique and special, but I think this would be a pretty conventional men’s marketed fragrance.
I quite liked it overall.
