This is my kind of vetiver for sure, but it’s also been done before and often. Straight away Vetiver Overdrive reminds me of Terre D’Hermes‘ DNA. That’s not to say that it’s a direct copy of that scent. Vetiver Overdrive is a tad greener and more floral. And I would even say sweeter with it’s ambroxan dose. It’s more watery versus the harsher DNA of the Hermes and less of the dirty orange. Plenty of small nuances and it smells beautiful, but you can’t shake the comparisons to many other vetivers and I’m not sure if it’s different enough to warrant any excitement.
