‘A taste of the future on the lips of the other. Absolute romanticism: it is both floral and woody. On the air, notes of Pepper mixed with Turkish Rose are diffused. At the fifth aurora borealis, we fall tenderly into a space-time rift where Musk and Sandalwood lull us to sleep… until the night of time..’ – D’Orsay
While I enjoyed Sur Tes Levres, ‘other 2023’ rose from D’Orsay; I felt it was quite different from what I had tried from the brand before.
The same is true for Une Rose Au Paradis. This too feels very ‘molecular’ and thin for a lack of a better explanation. Airy, very contemporary and safe.
In this case, it’s a fresh rose with a big dose of a clean white musk and as with Sur Tes Levres, cashmeran. It smells of freshly washed clothes, with a rather strong, clean and cold floral tinge.
After a while, it goes very soapy on my skin. Smelling it recalls a bath soap and you can almost picture bubbles flowing through the air.
Not quite the fragrance for me. It’s pleasant enough, but missing any excitement or stand out notes.
