Nothing Buy Sea & Sky is a remarkable sandalwood fragrance. I happened to sample it, while I was compiling my 25 SANDALWOOD PICKS list and it was a no-brainer to include it.

Essentially, this is a softer, lighter, white musky sandalwood. You get the velvety smooth fresh linen or white t-shirt vibe, with the woodiness being almost creamy in the base. It doesn’t have the overdose of vanilla, tonka or anything too sweet, but instead, keeps the sandalwood rather neutral and zen-like. This is how I remember pure Mysore sandalwood to be and it’s always a pleasure to encounter that style of sandalwood in a fragrance.

What sets this apart from some other musky sandalwoods (Villoresi MUSK EDT or Juliette has a Gun ODE TO DULLNESS for example), is the citrus. Bergamot is listed, but I get this balmy, soft, orange scent. Like orange ice cream or even an orange candle. Very smooth overall, nothing sticks out in this fragrance, nor does it project loudly. This is more of a contemplative, introverted fragrance to me and it’s really well-done.
