This is a beautiful release from Azman. It’s probably my favorite between it, Majnoon, Killer Vavoom and I Am Darkness.

This is yet another rose-oud fragrance, but it’s in my favorite style and I’ll use two references to describe it, as I feel it fits in right in between those.

The fragrance that Two Minutes After The Kiss has been compared to most is Boadicea Blue Sapphire. Blue Sapphire has been on my wishlist for years, but it’s very expensive. Two Minutes didn’t instantly register as a good alternative for me, but once I read about the comparisons, I can see it a little bit. It has a similar rose-oud styling, with a brighter aspect, but it’s not nearly as bright, citrussy, aromatic, sharp etc. as Blue Sapphire.

Instead, what hit me more is that Two Minutes After the Kiss smells like a lighter take on Amouage Jubilation XXV. I was surprised to find that others didn’t make the connection. If you’re like me and you love Jubilation XXV, but find that the fragrance doesn’t have enough levity, not enough room to breathe and can be a demanding wear; Two Minutes After The Kiss feels a little more open and a touch brighter.

Either way, it’s a really nice fragrance. I’ve mostly been over rose-ouds, but there are still styles out there that I haven’t hit a wall for yet and Two Minutes After The Kiss is one that I’m glad to have tried. I think it’s up there with Majnoon, but I would likely wear Two Minutes After The Kiss more frequently.
