‘As a lover of white flowers, I have long searched for a fragrance that could capture the majestic and voluptuous essence of tuberose. Hypnotic, magnetic, addictive, and unisex. Aimed to rediscover the power of its perfect balance between strength and delicacy, from its intense and green freshness to its creamy and warm notes. Eager to feel again that sensual alchemy and its unique power of seduction, between delicacy and animalistic nature. The notes of angelica, black tea, and musks mingle in this sensual dance on the skin. Like an intimate and ultimate playground, where what is revealed has not yet fully disclosed itself.’ – Superfumista
Tuberose can go in many directions, some more accessible (to my nose) than others. In this case, it’s definitely on the less daring side of the spectrum for me (I may have felt different a couple of years ago). It sort of falls in between the challenging, indolic ones and the barely-tuberose mass marketed designer tuberose.
The tone and ‘color’ of this tuberose is not as green, as a lot of the brighter tuberoses go on my skin. Tuberotic is mostly very powdery at first and I picture pink and pastel more than green. As said, on the fresher side. Not really indolic, animalic, nor creamy or thick for me. This wears sharper, like for example Carnal Flower, but powdery and the scent is more pink/purple than that, like one may expect from a violet or heliotrope.
I’d qualify this as a safe tuberose, albeit much less sweet than what you will find in your regular designer isle; and it doesn’t have a strong fruity lean either, making for a mature and versatile scent. I really enjoyed Tuberotic, although I don’t get the sensual, sexual, ‘erotic’ vibe that it eludes to (that I more so associate with jasmine), strongly in this, I find this rather clean and upscale.
