Tuberose as a note screams maturity and a classy, rich vibe to me, so I was curious to see how that would translate in such an affordable fragrance. Frankly, I don’t really get the tuberose in here, definitely not in the way I know tuberose. You don’t get any daring edge, indols or anything serious with the Zara offering.

What I get instead is the powdery texture combined with a vanilla and non-distinct, feminine leaning floral and a lot of muskiness. It’s a style you see all of the time (looking at you Kilian and Memo) and it’s pleasant, although on the sharper/harsher side of things here. The bottle reflects the fragrance well I think, as an almost gummy candy-like, pink, sugary vanilla. Especially in the drydown, where most of the floral element fades further into the background.

I could wear this for sure and performance-wise it holds up decently. I’ts a pretty fragrance and for the price, a really good deal, though as far as the scent it can’t compete with some of the other musky-vanilla-floral fragrances. I’m not sure why it’s called Tuberose, but it’s not too bad.
