Trimerous is one of the best, yet not unfamiliar woody iris scents on the market. This is probably my favorite offering from Jorum Studio.
It pairs the iris with a suede and a some sweetness. In the opening I get a slight fruity tinge; nectarine is listed, but I think it’s mostly pink pepper that I get.
The vanilla is also there from the opening. What I love about Trimerous is that it keeps the iris centered and prominent, but you get clear hints of vanilla, of suede, incense, that sharpness from the pink pepper and/or juniper.
Strong make-up bag iris vibes, so despite all its nuances, it’s as I mentioned rather familiar. It’s dry, woody, powdery, carroty, with the strongest nuance being the suede to my nose at first. In the later drydown this does feel quite floral too, which is wonderful. Definitely a great iris and one that I feel anyone could wear, anywhere.
