Please note that this is about Xerjoff’s lesser known Torino (2020) and not Torino21, which is a completely different scent profile with (I believe) no connection. Torino21 jump-started this collection’s popularity, but where did it start?
Torino is a gourmand aftershave-style scent, which is an interesting combination. You get the sweetness straight away, but underneath it the structure is more fresh and cologne-ish. It’s not a fully gourmand because of that and the sweetness is also kept in check relatively to other scents with notes like caramel and vanilla.
I’ve only tested Torino once, but on first impression it comes across as an interesting one that I haven’t heard much mention of in the fragrance community.
