Here are my 10 favorite purchases of 2023. I made this in September, in the hope/illusion that I won’t be adding many more in the rest of the year.
01. Jazeel GHALA
Entered my top 10. The expensive retail price is a drawback, but I got it at a clearance sale with 70% off, making this the best buy of the year for me.
02. Etat Libre D’Orange EXPERIMENTUM CRUCIS
One of the biggest surprises for me. My favorite ELDO and runner-up after Ganymede for favorite Quentin Bisch creation.
03. Serge Lutens FEMINITE DU BOIS
Undeniable modern classic. Affordable too; wish I had an older style bottle, but you can’t have everything.
04. Les Abstraits BELLE AME
Bought in December 2022, but arrived in January so it counts. One of the most unique iris fragrances.
05. Masque Milano L’ATTESA
Another and universally loved iris gem. Got a great deal on this and you can’t go wrong with it.
06. Teone Reinthal EMBERS RENAISSANCE
My favorite of the 4 Teone’s I picked up. TRNP’s famous sandalwood Embers, with the addition of iris in this new Renaissance version.
07. Ralph Lauren SAFARI (FOR WOMEN)
One of the best vintages I’ve bought so far. A fun fragrance with a lot of heart and a stunning presentation.
08. Areej Le Dore INDONESIAN OUD
One of my favorite spicy/cola patchouli-esque scents ever. Love the bottle too and at €160, fairly priced.
09. Versatile Paris CROISSANT CAFE
A cozy woody-gourmand that doesn’t break the bank and very practical. I will probably keep this in my car this Winter.
10. Chanel COROMANDEL PARFUM
Pricing and a dabber land this in the last spot, but it’s an absolute gem. Sweeter, more tropical and cozier than it’s EDT/EDP counterparts.
