This wears like a more acidic take on tobacco. It’s not as sweet or as honeyed as Viroopaska, at least at first. The sweetness definitely builds, but more of a sweet woodiness, not honey. I get a real oudy vibe here, despite no ouds being listed; like a mix of a sweeter Cambodian oud and a more daring Indian oud is what I perceive when I smell Tipakorn. I think I would slightly prefer Viroopaska for a darker, heavier Siam1928, but this one is also really solid.
