Nissaba is a new fragrance brand that I can 100% get behind; using good perfumers and a high percentage of quality natural ingredients.

On first impression Tierra Maya was my second favorite from Nissaba’s line-up, or even close to being my favorite. From the opening you are straight away engulfed in sweet resinous amber. My mind instantly went to Les Indemodables Vanille Havane; picture that style of sweet resin, minus the booze or the dirtiness.

Instead, Tierra Maya has an almost lemonade-like brightness in it’s opening. No citrus is listed, but the fragrance smells ‘orange’ to me, yet loaded with cinnamon and cardamom. I’d argue this is one of my favorite cardamom scents that I’ve come across to date.

I need more time testing this one, but it’s definitely a stand-out in the Nissaba line.
