Elixir is the first time I’m (consciously) smelling the The Scent For Her line. The men’s variant is probably the best line that I know from Hugo Boss and it has some flankers that I did enjoy, as well as that Elixir. The Scent For Her Elixir is pretty fun, but ultimately a bit too generic to stand out.

The opening is surprisingly fruity. Despite listing completely different notes, the combination of fruity and sweet with a pretty smooth, but loudly projecting feeling, reminds me of the opening of Armani My Way Parfum (one of my favorite designer releases in 2023). The Scent For Her Elixir is even less subtle though, with a more full-bodied fruitiness and the lack of class that iris brings to the table.

There’s a hint of bubblegum to this and the sweetness takes over right away. I have no idea how a belladonna flower smells, but I don’t get a very specific floral scent. If anything, it’s a fruity yellow flower, with tinges going in the direction of ylang-ylang, putting this in the (never ending) list of sweet sun-tan lotion-esque designers. In this case, with an emphasis on the more fruity side.

Definitely enjoyable though and a fun wearing experience. The quality seems to be on point and it definitely isn’t as harsh as some other releases, nor does it feel cloying or too bubblegummy, despite being very sweet. A decent release, albeit one that I think is rather forgettable.
