‘The Moon and I, a combination of Mate absolute, Matcha Tea extract and Cedarwood oil is a rich and smoky black tea scent. Profound and bright as the moon can be. Inspiration: A field of unknown flowers that only exist at night when staring to the stars with the moon. Is it a dream? It’s the haiku of this perfume first, and certainly a long lasting vision that goes along with the intensity of the smoky black tea scent.’ – Floraiku
The Moon And I seemed to be the tea scent that I was looking for. It smells awesome; a nice, dark, opaque tea, with a smokiness. It’s sort of in the direction of Russian Tea by Masque Milano, but more inviting, warmer and smoother. It’s a very lifelike dry tea fragrance, that almost goes into smelling like wet tobacco or a shisha lounge.
I wish I had more to say about the scent, but the truth is that it smells like that from the opening and within less than 2 hours it is gone… This is up there with the weakest performing samples I’ve tried. Within the hour there’s but a small trace of scent left that I could only detect on my skin.
Floraiku has some nice fragrances and although performance never seemed great, The Moon And I takes it too far and I don’t see how the price versus performance is justifiable.
