‘A dramatic film noir scent, set in 1950s lamplit London, made with the richest of resins, tobacco, vetiver, a smidge of smoky white birch. This is a rare amber with no vanillin; we wanted it to smell of dry smoked woods. The Big Smoke is one of London’s nicknames from the days before the Clean Air Act, when fog mixed with coal smoke was too dangerous to go out in.
It feels like a film noire.
