‘erra Moka is an ode to Mother Earth from an aesthete who loves the world and is a great coffee enthusiast. This name merges “Terra”, symbolizing authenticity, richness, and rawness, with “Moka”, denoting a sweet yet robust flavor, celebrating the Yemeni city of Mocha, the historical birthplace of the coffee trade. This olfactory journey captures the vital energy infused by terroirs around the world, from the moist earth turned at dawn to the finely ground roasted beans. The opening, fresh and sharp with a subtly bitter grapefruit, heralds the natural elegance of vetiver and the intensity of the raw and powerful aromas of coffee. This brown and golden warmth guides the journey as the indulgence of moka, with its hints of cocoa, caramel, and vanilla, makes its presence known. In crescendo, the woody and earthy notes of Haitian vetiver essence, abundant and sprinkled with myrrh, offer a enveloping and soothing depth. This creation is a tribute to our diverse roots and simple pleasures. A perfume that celebrates the olfactory embrace uniting man with nature.’ – Superfumista

Terra Moka is a rather heavy take on a coffee scent. Not just heavy in a dark sense, but more so in a green, earthy sense.

Terra Moka is more so about vetiver, than anything else on my skin. You get that bitter coffee, dark chocolate vibe more strongly in the opening. I get hints of berries, as you would in a pure chocolate. However, even some minutes in the vetiver begins to overtake and it is a big, blooming vetiver that is diffuse and demanding.

More dominant than Eight & Bob Nuit de Megeve and certainly less subtle than One Day Seoul, both vetiver-coffee scents as well. If you’re looking to make more of a statement and can handle that green forest vibe in a thick sillage surrounding you, next to the sweetness and gourmand tinges, then Terra Moka should be on your radar. For me personally, it’s a bit too much and too green.
