Tabac Oud Cardamome was sent to me by someone to confirm its closeness to Amouage Interlude Man and it is indeed a very similar DNA. Unfortunately, it’s a DNA I never fully got a long with.

My favorite take on Interlude is easily Interlude 53, because of its softer and sweeter opening. I have to say in some way Tabac Oud Cardamome mimics that perhaps even more so that the original Interlude Man.

On the other hand I find this to be brighter green at the same time. It has a similar oregano spiciness with it’s less spicy; more green (almost sour?) and has a sweeter base. Definitely a bit warmer of a take on the DNA, which I think helps.

When smelling this intensely and up close; I can feel the labdanum and vanilla, albeit shrouded in a smoky tobacco-ish and spicy woods. It’s a dry affair and not easy to wear for me personally.

Not my jam at all, but if you like Interlude; this one is worth checking out.
