Stunned is quite a wild ride, that I enjoyed more than I gave the notes credit for on paper.

I say that, because Stunned lists cannabis, which is usually a deal-breaker for me. However, the cannabis here is more of a mintiness, and there’s a smoke element, but it’s more of an incense. I don’t really get the green, skunky scent of the plant. As a matter of fact, to my nose Stunned smells a lot like incense sticks.

That incense is very sweet. I get a berry-like or blackcurrant sweetness, leaning into rose. There’s no fruits listed, so it must just be the florals mixed with vanilla and labdanum. The rose and geranium really set this apart for me, as they seem to make this is a louder, bigger fragrance. There’s also a slight rubbery tinge, possibly from the carnation.

In general, I’d say Stunned is quite the statement maker; it has a youthful vibe, but with an edge (the brand described it as cannabis-infused cotton candy). When I smell this, I picture a young woman, with black hair (for some reason she must be French), in a leather jacket and boots, smoking cigarettes. Not in a rebellious teenager way, but there’s a bit of counter culture.

That being said, I think it’s perfectly suitable for men and women alike. For me personally, I’m not sure if I could wear it regularly. Maybe on a very cold evening, but otherwise it’s a bit loud and sweet for my taste. It’s very interesting to try however and quite a ride.
