You know what? This is more different from the conventional Stronger With You DNA than I was expecting. Not necessarily something that I like more, but I’m happy that it’s not as redundant as the subsequent Stronger With You Powerfully is for example.

This is a strange one in the opening, as I find even more of a shower-gel, YSL Y-ish freshness that I was not counting on. Luckily, this fades and a stronger, darker woodiness comes through. This is not the super sweet and/or lactonic smooth sandalwood that you may expect. I find it harsher, nutty. Definitely more on the amber woody abrasive side, which pulls it leaning far traditionally masculine, even for a SWY.

At times, this smells more like a cypress flanker to me than a sandalwood one. It merges the usual sweet nutty facets of Stronger With You with a more mature direction.

Personally, I do find it grating and bordering on the unpleasant after a while, but if you often wear louder, modern designers or simply like bold, loud woody scents, your mileage may vary. Either way, this is a decently interesting addition for this line.
