‘Eau de Toilette. A fragrance that merges the fruity freshness of strawberry with the floral elegance of pink peony, enhanced by soft hints of candy floss. A delicate balance between sweetness and sophistication, ideal for everyday wear.’ – Zara
This launched alongside Pistachio Butter and Sun Kissed Banana and I was convinced that Strawberry Dress would be my least favorite of the three. Instead, it’s the only one that I can appreciate.
Despite listing candy floss and having some sweetness, I found this to start off more on the greenish, brighter fruity side. Not quite acidic, lifelike strawberry; in fact, very much a strange, plasticy, artificial scent, but not the sweet strawberry-desert vibe that I was anticipating; and I like it all the better for it.
It has a hint of dry earthiness, making it a tad more mature than I was expecting too. Not a strong performer, but that’s to be expected in this Zara range; it’s not terrible either as far as longevity goes. Overall, as someone who rarely ever likes strawberry fragrances, this gets a moderate thumbs up; I much prefer it over Juliette Has a Gun Miami Shake and it’s perhaps on par with Jusbox Sisters B4 Misters.
