‘Spring River opens with a clean citrus note, the spring awakening of nature. A warm, balanced floral heart evokes the first sunbeams of the new season. An enveloping cloud of woody musks recalls the cocooning effect of past winter.’ – Floraiku
Spring River is a light, airy and very cozy fragrance that I’d mostly typecast as a floral laundry detergent scent.
Straight from the opening I get a soapy freshness, with floral and citrus facets, but definitely soapy and airy first. White musk, but to my nose also neroli.
As it dries, actually, within minutes, it grows more floral. To my nose, this probably smells closest to mimosa and lily-of-the-valley. Slightly sweetened, crisp, pastel-colored florals that make for a fresh experience. Definitely befitting the Spring from its name.
Not very interesting or spectacular, and a skin scent from the start, but well done. This is one of those ‘clean linen, white t-shirt’ laundry detergent scents, where I find the muskiness to be too dominant for it to really feel like a perfume I’d want to wear. I would love it more as an actual fabric softener, detergent or perhaps a room spray. But overall pleasant, from my memory, this gave me a similar feeling as the popular Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline once did.
