This is merely a first impression. Soleil Du Maroc has a really bright and refreshing opening with a lot of sweetness coating it.
Straight away you get a punchy combination of lime, lemongrass, ginger and basil, with the lime being the key player. It’s a bit harsh, but not in a bad way; when comparing it to the more liquid and surrounded lime from Guerlain Homme EDP, this is sharper. When comparing it to the pungent lime from Blackcliff Limewood, this is easier on the nose. I’d say it compares in style to Xerjoff Renaissance.
At least, at first, because a gourmand-ish vanilla or even almost a caramel comes through underneath rather quickly. On first impression, I’m liking this one and it will probably be my favorite from the brand.
