Solaire is essentially a vanilla and almond fragrance with citrus, but maybe more important is its dry, powdery texture.
In the opening minutes you get a pretty nice scent of almonds and lemon with a hint of spiciness. There’s a floral tinge and a slight Summer breeze, but it’s instantly too sweet to really give off a ‘solar’ fragrance vibe in my opinion.
Underneath the citrussy almond and vanilla is a very dry and dusty layer of woods and musk. It’s simultaneously very sweet (a tiny bit too cloying for me) with a clean musky powder and a rather unnatural smelling citrus. Like a cleaning product.
The dusty nature and violet almost give it a suede and skin-like quality. I can see a ‘beachy’ setting more and more, but the sweetness is still overpowering it.
Solaire isn’t a like for me.
