I have an older miniature of this one, but found out rather quickly that it wasn’t for me. It does smell rather interesting and unique, especially in the opening.
Basically this opens as brushing your teeth with artemisia. I get a strong minty quality in this opening, with a green hue. There’s a lavender, but it’s more the sharpness of the aromatics than actual scent for me.
As it dries more and more it veers into a ‘pine forest’ scent; traditionally masculine cologne with a fresh kick. Would probably work pretty well as a shower-gel, but it’s not really my jam for a fragrance.
Very herbal to me and I’m not getting much of the sweetness from the base (that I’ve seen some other reviewers do mention – edit: I may have seen reviews for Francesco Smalto Pour Homme 1987, instead of this 1988 version).
