I’ve tried both the attar oil and the extrait de parfum sprayer for Salim Oud and in my testing I found their scent to be very similar.

Salim Oud was my favorite, but also the most mysterious one from Scent Salim that I’ve tried. To my nose there’s a slightly dark, candy orange in the opening, but it’s mainly a woody scent. It’s super subtle and it plays hide and seek with my nose.

The drydown reminds me a shade darker and less sweet Bois D’Iris or Bois D’Argent. It’s relatively simple, but beautiful and I’ve mainly used it as a layering option for other fragrances (it also works together with Kalimat). It’s deceivingly subtle; both the attar and spray perfume sit close to the skin, but the longevity surprised me.
