I wore Rose Bois Muscade alongside Rose Petale Cardamome. Both are solid fragrances.
Rose Bois Muscade opens with a more tame, almost dusty rose. Despite listing lemon and mandarin, I was missing some levity and brightness here, especially when compared to Rose Petale Cardamome.
That brightness does show up after a while, but in a very green spicy way. This is one of those fragrances where I don’t detect many of the notes and it feels like one big accord.
It smells familiar, as a spicy rose, with nutmeg and vetiver as the two facets that do stand out for me a bit. Because of its green hue, this reminds me a bit of Amouage Epic Woman or Epic 56, although a level below it. Still a great fragrance overall.
