‘This is a vibrant and sensual amber rich rose with fruity top notes and a resinous base. A vibrant and sensuous floral scent with a beautiful Bulgarian Rose absolut at heart. Spicy saffron, geranium and violets intensify the bouquet and blend into a warm earthy patchouli, vanilla and white musk. Like Rhodanthe, this luminous fragrance is a captivating beauty. This is a must have scent for rose lovers. RHODANTHE was a captivating beauty and intoxicated by her allure ardent suitors from far and wide pursued her. But her beauty was both a blessing and a burden. Legend has it unable to escape their advances Rhodanthe sought protection from her friend and goddess Diana transformed her into a rose, and the suitors into thorns. The florals, musk and vanilla in the scent capture the luminous beauty of Rhodanthe and the saffron, patchouli and cedar her suitors. Rhodanthe’s amorous allure inspires passion and fervour in all who fall under its spell.’ – Electimuss
Rhodante is another one from Electimuss that feels similar to others in their line; oily, dense, saffrony with sweetness and rose. It’s a good rendition though.
More on the green patchouli side, but also a strong, sweet and slightly soapy rose (a la Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud Satin Mood).
Overall, it leans more green. Very oily and resinous. The middle of the wear being more similar to the drydown of Amouge Epic Woman/Epic 56, although not as herbal as that.
However, as it dries more, the sweetness takes over more and more and it ultimately becomes a powdery vanilla late drydown. Quite nice, albeit not a top favorite from the brand for me.
